We’ve had a busy winter and spring season in the Maintenance and Facilities department!

Taking advantage of winter has been beneficial in a lot of areas at camp. There have been a lot of things we’ve been able to catch up on. We’re excited about a lot of projects that we’ve been able to do, like updating our dining hall with a new ceiling, lighting, and wainscoting. We also updated the ceiling in the camp kitchen. Some staff homes have gotten updates as well. We’ve done some heating and cooling upgrades throughout camp. We were able to move and expand our office in the maintenance shop and do some updates there. 

Now we’re looking forward to the true spring weather and hopefully tackling some outdoor projects on Work Weekend. We plan to be working on our new waterslide, some new exterior lighting on our buildings, and also looking to update the exterior look on all of our camp buildings. In May, I’ll complete my first year here at Big Sandy Camp. I want to praise God for all he has provided and for all the work that has been completed this year. We look forward to future plans for even more improvement in Big Sandy Camp’s facilities so they best serve our guests. Please continue to join us in prayer as God leads this ministry.
